IEEE TechSym 2010

The IEEE Student Branch of IIT Kharagpur in collaboration with IEEE Education Society SAC, IEEE EMB Student Club, IIT - NID Group and WIE creates a unique platform for you from 3-4 April 2010. IEEE TechSym 2010 is the inaugural event, being held at the lush green and youthful campus of IIT Kharagpur.

Scientific Model Making Contest

This event is designated to School Students and Bachelor students only. The selected students will be encouraged to develop the prototype and file the IP for the designs if it achieves the desired levels of novelty and market potential.

A special track in the contest will be introduced with a separate award on behalf of WIE to encourage school girls to take up engineering as their career.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Maximum of two students are allowed per team.
  • Any number of teams may participate from the institute.
  • Organizers will only provide a table (size 2.5 ft X 3.5 ft), an electrical point, and poster stand. Any other necessary accessories are to be arranged by the respective team.
  • Students have to bring the bonafide certificate issued by the institution authorities during model presentation, if proposal of the model gets selected.
  • Each participant of a selected team has to register to the event separately.
  • The venue for model presentation will be readily available to the participants before two hours of the actual schedule.
  • All participants will get participation certificates and some prizes are also waiting.
  • Short listed proposals will be displayed on the TechSym'10 website, subsequently email will follow.
  • No TA/DA will be given to the participants.
