Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination 2010
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) conduct a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) every year for the admission to its B-Tech and other courses offered at the IIT Mumbai, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Chennai, IIT Kharakpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Roorkee, IT Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad. Candidates who qualify in the IIT-JEE can apply for admission to the BArch (Bachelor of Architecture), BDes (Bachelor of Design), BTech (Bachelor of Technology), Dual Degree (Integrated Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology) and Integrated MSc (Master of Sciences) courses in the various institutes.
Examination Schedule
April 11, 2010 (Sunday):
Paper 1: 9:00 to 12:00 hrs
Paper 2: 14:00 to 17:00 hrs
Paper I and Paper II will have seperate sections in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Questions will be of objective type.
Eligibility
Date of Birth: Born on or after October 10, 1985. October 10, 1985 for SC/ST and PD
Must have passed XII or any equivalent exam after 1 October 2008 or in the year 2009 or will be appearing in 2010.
At least 60% marks in XII Exam.SC/ST/PD 55%
JEE can be attempted only twice, in consecutive years.Furthermore, from 2007 on, students who are selected for admission to an IIT cannot attempt the examination again in the future.

Application can be submitted both online and offline
For online visit any ofthe following websites. Fee can be padi through debit/credit cards or through bank challan. The reduced examination fee for online mode is Rs. 450/- for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates and Rs. 900/- for all others.
Offline:Application forms can be boughtfrom any one ofthe banksby paying Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PD/Female candidatesand Rs. 1000/- for all others.

Offline Application Process: November 16, 2009 to December 15, 2009
Last date for receiving hardcopy of application forms at IIT: Dec. 19, 2009
