A Little Princess

Author: Frances Eliza Hodgson Burnett
Publisher: Oxford University Press

"A Little Princess" is a story about a small girl named Sara Crewe. Her mother was dead and she lives with her father, Ralph Crewe. He lovingly calls his daughter "little missus". He was a rich man and brings Sara to Miss. Minchin's school in London. Miss Minchin was a very cruel lady. Sara lives there happily and she gets many new friends.

On her eleventh birthday, she got the bad news that here father was dead and his friends had taken all the money and ran away. Sara was very sad. Miss Minchin made her a servant in her kitchen. Accidently she meet her father's friend, who was looking for her as he got all the money from her father. He told her that he had not cheated his father and that was a mistake. He took her home and they lived happily forever.

I like the book very much because after reading the book I realised that when are rich, we have many friends and when we are poor, we may not have friends. There are many pictures in this book which makes the book attractive.
