The Railway Children

Author: Edith Nesbit
Publisher: Oxford University Press

The book "The Railway Children" is a story for children written by Edith Nesbit.

The father of three children was taken away by two men for some official reasons and thus begins a new lie for Roberta, Peter and Phyllis. The London children come down to Railway children knowing all about the trains. They have many adventrues on the railway tracks. They once saved a train from an accident. There they meet an old gentleman who was vey happy because they had saved the life of his grandson. Later on, the same man brought back their father.

I liked the story very much. The important morals from the story are: One - the most important time is the present time and the most important person is the person who is present at that time and the most important thing to do that person good. We are present here for this purpose only. Another moral is that we don't know what we have to face tomorrow but we should have the power to face tomorrow.

The cover is very good and attractive, but the interior of the book did not attract me much because it is not colourful. I think the story books for children should be colourful. The nature of this story is adventuroous which is very interesting. The book is illustrated by Racher Birkett and is published by Oxford Bookworms Library. The price of the book is affordable.
